Aristotle University of Thessaloniki (AUTH)

The Aristotle University of Thessaloniki is the largest University in Greece and is located in the city of Thessaloniki in Northern Greece. The School of Electrical and Computer Engineering provides a 5-year Engineering diploma degree in Electrical and Computer Engineering and runs postgraduate programs which lead to M.Sc. and doctorate degrees. It also conducts research in many areas of the Electrical, Electronic, Telecommunications and Computer Science and Engineering fields. Its Laboratories on Computer System Architecture and Telecommunication Systems, which are the units of AUTH that participate in the EMMON project have a long standing research record in the areas of:
  • Intelligent industrial control,
  • Robotics evolutionary computation,
  • Fuzzy systems, neural networks,
  • Parallel processing,
  • Embedded systems
  • Sensor Networks

They have participated in more than 50 research projects funded by the EU, the Greek Ministry of Industry and other funding organizations. Numerous papers have also been published in reviewed scientific journals and conferences.
